Coating and restoration, done the thorough way.
Every Wellman job follows the same disciplined system — because a coating only lasts as long as the prep underneath it. Here's exactly what we do and why.
We apply professional-grade Sherwin-Williams coating systems, selected for the existing roof and project conditions.
Our coating & restoration services.
Liquid-Applied Roof Coating
The core of what we do. Sherwin-Williams elastomeric or silicone systems that cure into a single seamless, reflective, protective membrane across your whole roof — ideal for the low-slope metal roofs on manufactured homes, and for compatible residential and small-commercial roofs.
Rust Treatment & Restoration
Rust never sleeps. We clean the surface, treat active corrosion, and prime bare metal so it's stable before a drop of coating goes down. Skip this step and the rust keeps eating the roof under a pretty white surface.
Seam & Penetration Sealing
Roofs leak at the details — seams, fasteners, vents, pipes, skylights and the roof edge. We reinforce and seal each one, then tie it all into the coating.
Inspection & Honest Assessment
Not every roof should be coated. We'll inspect yours and give you a straight answer. If a coating will serve you, we'll scope it. If it won't, we'll tell you that before you spend a dime.
Existing roofs — restored, not replaced.
- Existing metal roofs and manufactured-home roof systems
- Compatible low-slope systems, verified by inspection
- Residential and small-commercial roofs evaluated individually
What we don't do: shingle replacement, tear-offs, or structural roofing. Coating restores a sound existing roof — it isn't a substitute for one that's failed.

How a Wellman roof comes together.
Assess
Walk the roof, document failures, confirm coating is right, and measure for an exact quote.
Prepare
Wash the surface, treat and prime rust, and prepare a clean, sound substrate for adhesion.
Restore
Detail every seam and penetration, then apply the system in even, full-thickness coats.
Document
Before/after photos plus the system and warranty details, in writing.
Sherwin-Williams systems, matched to your roof.
Different roofs call for different systems. Elastomeric systems are designed to remain flexible through temperature changes. Certain silicone systems are well-suited to ponding-water exposure and UV conditions. As a Sherwin-Williams partner we spec professional-grade materials selected for the existing roof and conditions — and walk you through the choice so you know exactly what's going over your head.

When restoration isn't the right call.
Coating isn't a cure-all. A roof may not be a candidate when the deck is structurally unsound, moisture is trapped inside the assembly, drainage can't be corrected, the substrate isn't compatible with the coating, or deterioration has progressed beyond a repairable condition.
If your roof isn't a sound candidate, Brian will tell you — before you spend a dime.
Warranty, spelled out on every estimate.
Manufacturer material warranty
Eligible coating systems may include a manufacturer material warranty. Coverage varies by product, roof condition, application requirements, and written warranty terms — every estimate identifies the specific system and its warranty, if applicable.
Wellman workmanship terms
We stand behind our prep and application. Your written estimate lays out the workmanship terms — what's covered, for how long, and what's not — so there are no surprises.
What homeowners ask us most.
Does a coating really stop leaks, or just cover them up?
How long does a coated roof last?
Can you coat over rust?
What about standing (ponding) water?
Is coating cheaper than replacement?
How long does a job take?
Not sure if your roof can be coated?
Send a photo or request a look. If a coating is the right call, we'll tell you — and if it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
